A first alert dispatch was issued for a fire that broke out in the localities of Viseu, Nelas, and Senhorim. The alert indicates that the fire originated in vegetation (scrubland) and that Civil Protection authorities were activated to respond to the incident.
To combat the fire, 27 operatives were mobilized, supported by five ground vehicles and one aerial asset. The forces on the ground include firefighters and other Civil Protection agents working to control the flames.
The first alert dispatch represents the initial response level of Portuguese Civil Protection, activated when a fire is still in its early phase or when the available resources are considered sufficient for its containment. This type of alert allows for rapid mobilization of resources before the possibility of escalation to higher levels.
