Prince Harry and Meghan Markle allegedly turned to British hedge fund billionaire Ian Wace for their move back to the UK. Two sources heard by Page Six stated that Wace is supposedly helping to finance the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's move. His fortune is estimated at $1.2 billion.
Wace is co-founder, CEO and chief risk officer of Marshall Wace LLP, one of the largest hedge fund firms in the world, founded in 1997. At 63 years old, the financier has maintained a very close relationship with Harry, 41, and Markle, 45, for years, to the point of being described as the couple's "guardian angel."
The couple took their children — Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5 — to Wace's private island in Scotland called Tanera Mòr, in July, according to the Daily Mail. Meghan also posted a photo on Instagram showing what appeared to be the Scottish Highlands in early August.
