Neither Ukraine, nor Russia: "At this moment, there is no will from either party to stop these attacks"

Russia launched a major attack on Kiev that resulted in 27 dead and 42 wounded. The attack occurred recently and represents one of the latest Russian military offensives against the Ukrainian capital.

CNN Portugal commentator Miguel Baumgartner analyzed the latest developments in the war in Ukraine. According to his analysis, there is currently no will from any of the parties involved in the conflict to cease the attacks.

Baumgartner stated that, at this moment, there is no will from either side to stop these attacks, suggesting that the conflict continues without immediate prospects for negotiation or truce.

The commentator highlighted that both Russia and Ukraine remain determined in their military position, with no signs that either side is willing to give in or seek a peace agreement in the short term.

The real challenge will be financing — Portugal advocates for a European Nature Restoration Fund and admits resorting to nature credit markets and private investment — and the capacity to implement measures on the ground, in vulnerable territories such as Serra da Estrela, Gerês or the Guadiana Valley, confronted with fires, drought, urban pressure and climate change.

The little Nymph returned

A small bronze sculpture depicting a nymph, which had been stolen from the stairs of the Dock in Faro, was recovered and returned to its original location after search efforts by municipal workers.
