The Regional Health Directorate, through the Operational Unit for Intervention in Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies, is promoting during the Festas de São Vicente a prevention action integrated in the #Vibes4U NoDrugs project. The initiative's main objective is to alert festival-goers to the dangers associated with excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages and the use of illicit substances in party contexts. The intervention takes place during the São Vicente festival and aims to reach directly the young audience that attends these types of events. The model used for this prevention action is based on the peer education methodology, which allows for a more direct and effective communication among young people.
