Oyo Rukidi IV, considered "the world's youngest king" and recognized by Guinness in 2025 as the youngest reigning monarch, died at 34 in the kingdom of Tooro, in the western region of Uganda. He ascended the throne at age three and, although he was not married, left a heir prince whose identity has not yet been revealed. The kingdom of Tooro, located on the borders of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, is one of five kingdoms symbolically recognized by President Yoweri Museveni, possessing essentially cultural powers, but maintaining political influence in the region.
