FOZ CÔA ADVANCES WITH HIGHER EDUCATION COURSE IN WINE TOURISM

The Municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa will create a Higher Technical Professional Course (CTeSP) in Wine Tourism, in partnership with the Polytechnic University of Guarda and the local School Grouping, with the protocol signing scheduled for August 31. The course aims to address the characteristics of the territory linked to vineyards and wine in the Upper Douro, training students in areas such as tourism, wine production, and heritage. Local companies will host students for internships, bringing academic training closer to professional reality, and the Municipality sees this initiative as a way to qualify young people and contribute to retaining professionals in the region.

Vila Nova de Foz Côa vai reforçar a oferta de ensino superior com a criação de um Curso Técnico Superior Profissional (CTeSP) em Enoturismo.

A parceria entre o Município, a Universidade Politécnica da Guarda e o Agrupamento de Escolas Tenente-Coronel Adão Carrapatoso será formalizada na próxima segunda-feira, 31 de agosto, às 17h00, na Casa do Rio, na Quinta do Vallado.

O protocolo será assinado pelos responsáveis das três instituições e prevê ainda a participação de entidades e empresas locais que vão receber os alunos em estágio, aproximando a formação académica da realidade profissional.

O novo curso pretende responder às características do território, fortemente ligado à vinha, ao vinho e ao património do Douro Superior, com formação em áreas como turismo, vitivinicultura, património e valorização dos recursos locais.

Para o Município, a criação do CTeSP representa uma oportunidade para aproximar o ensino superior da população, qualificar jovens e contribuir para a fixação de profissionais no território.

Pergaminho contests newspaper distribution tender result

Pergaminhoflash company is contesting the preliminary result of the public tender for newspaper distribution in Portugal, which gave victory to Vasp in the two lots under dispute. The company led by Rui Marques Santos claims that the 5.47 point difference that decided the tender was concentrated exclusively in the price factor, since both competitors obtained maximum score in the geographic dispersion criterion. Pergaminhoflash questions the validity of sales points presented by Vasp, including a house, fire brigade associations, municipal libraries and CTT stores, arguing that these do not meet the requirement of minimum operation of 300 days per year. The company owned by José Manuel Rogeira de Jesus — owner of Parsoc, FEPI and majority shareholder of the owner of Jornal de Notícias and O Jogo — also alleges "price formation manipulation" by Vasp, noting that the discounts presented are mathematically exact to the cent, which contradicts the claim that the values were formed based on the real cost structure. Vasp, a company of Marco Galinha, won the tender for 2.3 million euros, representing a 25% savings for the State.
