Salva Orellana started working at the age of 17 in Seville, working shifts of up to 18 consecutive hours that barely allowed him to make a living. It was at that time that he decided to study to become an electrician as a way to improve his professional situation. His entire life changed when he made the decision to move to Germany. In Seville, he earned about 1,600 euros per month as an electrician. After establishing himself in Germany, his income increased almost fourfold, reaching 6,200 euros per month. This experience shows how labor mobility to other European countries can represent a significant improvement in living conditions and salaries for qualified Spanish workers.
