Political Science student David Bandeira participated in a NOW program where he argued that "we live in a unipolar world, but not for long." His intervention focused on the analysis of the current global balance of power.
According to Bandeira, powers such as China are rapidly catching up with the United States both economically and militarily, which threatens the current unipolar structure of the international system.
The student also stated that Europe remains a "subsidiary of the United States," suggesting that the European continent does not have significant strategic autonomy in the current global scenario.
