Now28 August 2026 at 23:12

The August full moon rose on Friday behind the Temple of Apollo, located in ancient Corinth, in Greece. The phenomenon was captured when the full moon was rising behind the archaeological ruins of the temple.

Visitors present at the site took the opportunity to photograph the unique moment provided by the combination of the full moon with the historical monument.

The Temple of Apollo, built in the ancient city of Corinth, is one of the best-preserved Doric temples in Greece, having been erected between the 6th and 4th centuries before Christ. The strategic position of the temple allowed photographers to capture the moon on the horizon, creating an image that combines archaeological heritage and astronomy.
