The fourth edition of an awareness event for blood diseases was held in Porto, covering 3.5 kilometres along the city's riverside waterfront. The event aims to alert the population to the importance of diagnosing and treating these pathologies.
According to the data mentioned in the article, in 2024 almost 4,400 new cases of leukaemias and lymphomas were diagnosed in Portugal. These figures highlight the relevance of awareness initiatives for these blood diseases.
