Middle East: Hezbollah in Lebanon Rejects Agreement with Israel Again and Refuses to "Surrender"

SAPO28 August 2026 at 22:56

The Hezbollah leader reaffirmed today that it rejects the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, guaranteeing that the pro-Iranian movement refuses to "surrender". This position comes after the group was weakened by two wars with the Israeli army.

Hezbollah, which is based in Lebanon, thus maintains its posture of confrontation against Israel, refusing any type of agreement that may be interpreted as a capitulation.

The movement, supported by Iran, continues to affirm its determination to maintain resistance, even after the impacts of the two previous wars against Israel.

This rejection once again of the framework agreement marks another chapter in the ongoing tensions between Hezbollah and Israel in the Middle East region.
