International payments grow with infrastructure for SMEs

oglobo28 August 2026 at 22:38

The expansion of cross-border trade and the pursuit of greater efficiency in international payments have been driving demand for financial infrastructure targeted at small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In this context, digital platforms are adopting risk management technologies and artificial intelligence to simplify operations between companies in different countries and currencies.

An example of this movement is XTransfer, a payment platform for B2B cross-border trade that reached the milestone of 1 million client companies. Founded in 2017, the company processed $60 billion in total payment volume (TPV) in 2025, according to data from China Insights Consultancy (CIC).

The company is present in more than 200 markets and has more than 170 global financial partners. Its expansion also occurs through solutions that allow companies to use local structures to make international payments, such as the Local Account service.
