Minister André Mendonça, of the Supreme Federal Court, ordered the cancellation of freezes that affected assets and guarantees linked to Banco de Brasília (BRB) within the scope of investigations involving the institution and Banco Master. The measure reaches 23 properties given as guarantee for six Commercial Credit Notes (CCBs) assigned by Master to the public bank of the Federal District.
The decision fulfills BRB's request and goes against the opinion of the Federal Public Ministry, which had defended maintaining the restrictions due to the risk of dissipation of assets and securities. The investigations examine suspicions of fraud against the financial system, money laundering, and asset protection schemes.
The six CCBs were assigned by Banco Master to BRB in June 2025. According to information presented by the bank in the process, the transfer was full and without co-obligation, including the credits, their charges, accessories, and guarantees.
