The municipality of Leiria closed the candidacy analysis process for reconstruction after the passage of storm Kristin. This process involved the evaluation of a large number of support requests from those affected by the storm.

Of the candidacies analyzed, 7,694 were paid and 2,731 were rejected. This means that the vast majority of requests were approved and received funding to address the damage caused by the storm.

The total amount requested reached 69.7 million euros. This value represents approximately 30.1% of the national total of candidacies related to the storm, which demonstrates the significant impact that storm Kristin had on the municipality of Leiria compared to other regions of the country.
