The president of Chega, André Ventura, admitted this Friday that the party will proceed with a motion of censure against the Government if the prime minister, Luís Montenegro, does not resolve the situation of the minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves. Ventura considered that the case has reached a "grotesque" and "unacceptable" level.
Ventura thus joined the appeal already made by the President of the Republic, who had also urged the resolution of the situation. The leader of Chega also stated that "nobody takes the minister of Internal Administration seriously," reinforcing the party's position.
The deadline given by Ventura to the prime minister is until the end of the month. If the situation is not resolved, Chega will present the motion of censure on Tuesday, September 1st.
