SINES: City Hall launches pilot project to support families in Porto Covo

Sines City Hall opens applications, starting Monday, for the "CAF Crescer+" pilot project at the Porto Covo Basic School. This initiative aims to ensure student supervision before and after classes, with the goal of supporting families whose work schedules are not compatible with school hours.

A Câmara de Sines abre, partir de segunda-feira, as candidaturas ao projeto-piloto “CAF Crescer+”, na Escola Básica de Porto Covo, para assegurar o acompanhamento dos alunos antes e depois das aulas, divulgou o município.

A iniciativa, cujas candidaturas vão estar disponíveis até dia 15 de setembro, destina-se às crianças do 1.º ciclo e pretende apoiar as famílias cujos horários de trabalho não são compatíveis com o horário escolar, explicou esta autarquia do distrito de Setúbal.

A medida, indicou, “procura responder ao aumento do número de encarregados de educação com horários de trabalho alargados e nem sempre compatíveis com o horário letivo”.

O projeto, a desenvolver no ano letivo 2026/27, assegura o acompanhamento dos alunos antes e depois das aulas e das atividades de enriquecimento curricular, assim como nas férias letivas.
