PSD recognizes that PS and Chega have differences between themselves, but considers that these two parties are similar in their discourse against the Government. This position was presented by Sebastião Bugalho, a member of PSD.

The PSD politician also admitted that topics such as social security or constitutional revision work as "ghosts" that attract more media attention. According to Bugalho, these issues "sell more" and "motivate more debates" among political forces.
