An operation carried out by the Military Police in Senator Camará, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on Friday, resulted in the closure of 42 schools, 38 municipal and 4 state. Additionally, eight Primary Care units and a Psychosocial Care Center, all linked to the municipality, suspended operations. Two other units only interrupted external activities, such as home visits.
Taquaral Road, one of the main roads in the region, was blocked by criminals using two trucks. Due to the closure, four bus lines are operating with detours. The blockades were carried out by bandits linked to the Third Pure Command, according to information from the corporation.
PM spokesperson, lieutenant colonel Cláudia Moraes, reported in an interview with RJ1, Globo TV, that the intelligence sectors of the corporation and the 14th BPM identified atypical movement of criminals in the region, who are linked to the TCP. The operation was launched in response to this suspicious activity detected by the security authorities.
