José Eduardo Moreira has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer of TAP. The airline's management chose the former head of the Maintenance and Engineering department to occupy the operational leadership position.
Moreira succeeds Mário Chaves, who leaves the Portuguese airline to take over the leadership of AZAL's operation, a company with which TAP maintains a strategic partnership.
The change occurs at an important time for the airline, which has been recovering from significant financial difficulties in recent years. The appointment of a professional with experience in the technical area demonstrates TAP's commitment to strengthening its internal operations.
