The commander emphasized the urgency of sending logistical support and basic necessities to populations affected by the floods. Among the goods considered fundamental are drinking water, food, tents and blankets for basic shelter.
In addition to material support, Rodrigues emphasized the need to provide medical assistance to the flood victims, considering this response essential to mitigate the effects of the humanitarian catastrophe affecting the country.
