A scammer was arrested in Cascais while attempting to purchase a watch worth 36,000 euros. Authorities managed to intercept the man during the attempt to acquire the luxury item.

The scheme used by the scammer was the well-known "Love scam" method, a type of fraud that generally involves emotional manipulation of victims to obtain money or goods.

The case was reported by the FALA PORTUGAL program, broadcast on TV RECORD. This is not the first time this type of scam has been uncovered in Portuguese territory, being one of the most common frauds in the country.
