Two of the four firefighters injured in Arouca remain hospitalized, according to the Local Health Unit (ULS) of Baixo Mondego. The accident occurred on August 19, when the firefighters were on their way to a fire. The fire consumed at least 1,300 hectares of vegetation. The firefighters were injured in a road accident while traveling to fight the flames.
