The Cávado Intermunicipal Community (CIM) received, in Braga, a delegation from the Association of Regional Development Agencies of Slovenia (RRA GIZ). The study visit to Northern Portugal took place at CIM Cávado and included the participation of 12 Slovenian managers and senior technicians.
The Slovenian delegation showed particular interest in the territorial governance models implemented in Portugal, as well as in the cohesion policies that support European regional development. The RRA GIZ representatives aimed to learn firsthand about the practices adopted by Portuguese intermunicipal communities in promoting the economic development of their territories.
Innovation was one of the central themes of the visit, with the Slovenian participants showing interest in the territorial innovation strategies developed in Northern Portugal. This exchange of experiences is part of the broader context of European cooperation between regions, allowing the sharing of good practices among European Union member countries.
