Civil police officers from the Women's Assistance Division (Deam) in São João de Meriti apprehended on Thursday a teenager involved in the gang rape of a 13-year-old girl in Baixada Fluminense. The suspect was located in Nova Iguaçu.
The teenager was subjected to the "drug trafficking tribunal" of the Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP), a criminal organization that operates in the region. A total of five suspects of participation in the crime, which occurred in February of this year, were identified by the investigations. One of them was killed by bandits and another remains missing.
The investigations indicated that the victim lived near the Trio do Ouro community, territory exploited by the TCP, and frequented the area because she had relatives there. According to the investigation, she was confused by drug traffickers with another girl who would be a criminal's girlfriend.
