A 39-year-old man was arrested twice in the early morning of August 25th, in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, for disobeying police orders. The first arrest occurred after the man refused to take the quantitative breathalyzer test, which constitutes an offense against authorities.
After being detained and prohibited from driving, the individual was released but was intercepted driving again. This second driving was in direct violation of the police orders that had been communicated to him during the first arrest, which resulted in a new arrest for disobedience.
The Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP was the authority responsible for both arrests, acting within the scope of road enforcement in that region. The case illustrates a pattern of repeated disobedience to the determinations of the security forces, worsening the driver's legal situation.
