The security scheme for Rock in Rio 2026 was announced this Friday (28), with a total force of 7,680 agents. Of this total, there are 4.5 thousand military police, 1.7 thousand civil police, 140 agents from Segurança Presente and other support professionals. The announcement was made at the Integrated Command and Control Center in Cidade Nova.
One of the new features of the event is a command center dedicated to drone monitoring. The airspace will be controlled during the festival, and any alert about flying equipment used without authorization will be directed to the Integrated Command and Control Center, where the operator may be held accountable.
On the days of the event, both uniformed police and plainclothes agents will be present. The Civil Police will set up an extension of the 16th DP, from Barra da Tijuca, in the vicinity of Rock in Rio City, with the aim of preventing the public from having to travel to a police station to file reports.
Specialized teams will also work to combat cell phone theft, in addition to the presence of the Bomb Squad. The Military Police will make 177 vehicles available to reinforce the security scheme during the festival.
