Miquel Salom is a Spanish photographer who will participate in the Arouca Festival on September 11 and 12, in São João da Madeira and Porto. This participation comes as part of the 24th edition of the event, which this year has as its central theme handmade photography as a way to combat disinformation.
The photographer will be present to defend his handmade work carried out through the wet collodion technique, a traditional photographic process that allows creating unique images that cannot be reproduced identically.
Salom's presence at the festival aims to demonstrate how handmade photography can function as a weapon against the fake, since each image created with these traditional techniques is authentic and impossible to replicate with accuracy.
The Arouca Festival, throughout its 24 editions, has been promoting and valuing handmade photographic practices, positioning itself as a reference event for enthusiasts and professionals of traditional photography.
