The Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, attended the opening of the 35th edition of the Dão Wine Fair, which takes place in Nelas between September 3 and 6. The solemn opening ceremony took place on September 4, at 4:30 PM, at the Town Hall Square.
The event is considered one of the main events of the Demarcated Region of Dão, bringing together producers and visitors in an event dedicated to the wines of the region. The fair takes place annually and celebrates the wine-growing tradition of the Dão region.
The 2024 edition featured the presence of the Head of Government, highlighting the importance of the wine sector for the local and regional economy. Nelas, situated in the central region of Portugal, is known for the production of quality wines, particularly from the Touriga Nacional grape variety.
