A Kazakh tourist, approximately 30 years old, was rescued this morning at Pico Ruivo, in Madeira. The man suffered a fall yesterday while walking along a path to the peak, which is the island's highest point.
The rescue operation lasted several hours and involved emergency teams who worked through the night to reach the location where the tourist was immobilized due to the fall.
The rescue ended this morning, after an operation that took place under difficult conditions, given the mountainous terrain and darkness during part of the night.
The man was then taken to receive medical care, although the article does not specify his health condition after the accident.
