Investigation into sexual assault between minors in a supervised group home in Burgos

The Prosecutor's Office for Minors, the Junta de Castilla y León, and the organization Nuevo Futuro are investigating a possible sexual assault on an eleven-year-old minor of Colombian origin by another fourteen-year-old minor of Spanish nationality. The incident reportedly occurred in a supervised group home in the capital of Burgos, managed by the organization Nuevo Futuro, which houses minors in vulnerable situations.

The victim minor is of Colombian origin and was eleven years old at the time of the facts. The alleged aggressor is a Spanish minor of fourteen years, also housed in the same supervised group home. The exact circumstances of the incident are still under investigation by the competent authorities.

The Junta de Castilla y León, as the autonomous authority responsible for the protection of minors in the region, participated in the joint investigation together with the Prosecutor's Office for Minors and the non-governmental organization Nuevo Futuro, responsible for managing the reception center where the incident reportedly occurred.
