Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook and former partner of Mark Zuckerberg, is the richest Brazilian for the third consecutive year, with an estimated fortune of R$ 162.9 billion. At 44 years old, the businessman born in São Paulo and based in Singapore tops Forbes' 2026 billionaires list, released on Thursday (the 27th). He opened a R$ 32.3 billion lead over the second-place holder, Vicky Safra and family, who have accumulated wealth of R$ 130.6 billion. Jorge Paulo Lemann rounds out the podium, with R$ 103.5 billion.
In the 14th edition of its national ranking, Forbes identified 255 Brazilians with wealth exceeding R$ 1 billion. Together, their fortunes reach R$ 1.86 trillion. Among the list members, 57.25% grew richer over the past year, while 30.2% saw their fortunes decline. Another five names joined the billionaire group for the first time.
