The Portuguese Road and Urban Transport Workers' Union again criticized the handing over of maintenance to private companies, demanding clarification on the decisions made before the derailment on the Glória Line.
The accident on the Glória Line killed 16 people. The union continues to point the finger at the privatization of maintenance services as a factor that may have contributed to the tragedy.
Authorities are still investigating the causes of the derailment, while the union maintains pressure for answers about what led to the accident.
