At 30 years old, Luana Lopes Lara, a woman from Belo Horizonte, was elected the youngest self-made billionaire in Brazil by Forbes Brasil, making her debut on the 2026 billionaire list with an estimated fortune of R$ 13.4 billion. She is co-founder of Kalshi, an American prediction markets platform, and is among the rare names on the list who built their own wealth without inheritance.
Luana's fortune was built in just over five years. The wealth jump occurred in December 2025, when Kalshi raised $1 billion in an investment round that valued the company at $11 billion.
At that time, Luana Lopes Lara and Tarek Mansour, her business partner, each had about 12% stake in the company. With these stakes, the two joined the group of billionaires.
