The 30-year-old Brazilian Luana Lopes Lara made her debut on Forbes Brazil's billionaire list in 2026 with an estimated fortune of R$ 13.4 billion. She is from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, and co-founder of Kalshi, an American prediction markets platform. Luana is among the rare names on the list who built their own wealth without inheritance, and her fortune was built in just over five years.

In December 2025, at age 29, Luana became, according to Forbes, the youngest woman in the world to reach billionaire status through her own work. The publication highlights that her trajectory brings together seemingly unrelated activities: classical ballet, mathematics, astronomy, engineering, and the financial market.

Born in Belo Horizonte in 1996, Luana is the daughter of a mathematics teacher and an engineer. She grew up between Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Santa Catarina. In Joinville, she studied at the unit of the Bolshoi Ballet School.
