Penalva do Castelo reinforces support for families in the new school year

The Municipality of Penalva do Castelo announced that it will reinforce support for families during the 2026/2027 school year. This measure aims to support parents and guardians in preparing their children for the return to school.

The municipal council will offer activity books to all students in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education attending the School Grouping of Penalva do Castelo. This offer covers the subjects of Portuguese, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and English.

With this initiative, the municipality aims to reduce the financial burden on families for school supplies, facilitating students' access to essential pedagogical resources for their academic development.

The reinforcement of support for families is part of a broader strategy by the Municipality of Penalva do Castelo to promote equality of opportunity in access to education and support family households in the municipality.
