Judge Miguel Ángel Torres, who was the instructor of the Malaya and Ballena Branca cases, related to the fight against corruption on the Costa del Sol, was appointed this Friday by the Permanent Committee of the General Council of the Judiciary to act as reinforcement in the courts of Ceuta for the next six months.

Torres will be assigned to the Civil and Instruction Section of the Instance Court of Ceuta, which has six vacancies. The measure aims to reinforce the court of the autonomous city in view of the migratory crisis that Ceuta has been experiencing since July 31.

This appointment comes in a context of intense migratory pressure on the Spanish city of Ceuta, which has been facing an emergency situation due to the massive arrival of migrants, which has overloaded the local courts.
