Socialist João Soares criticized today, at PSD's Summer University, the comparison between José Luís Carneiro and André Ventura, calling it "an indecency". João Soares directed his words at the Social Democratic parliamentary leader, without naming him directly.

The former Culture Minister also defended Minister Luís Neves, who heads the Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sports Events. João Soares considered that Luís Neves has been the target of a "miserable campaign" and expressed solidarity with him.

The PSD Summer University event took place in Tavira and was attended by party figures, where João Soares, as a socialist, was present to speak on these current political issues.
