Espinho reinforces competencies of Anta and Silvalde

Diário de Aveiro28 August 2026 at 09:30

The Espinho City Council reinforced the delegated competencies in the parish boards of Anta and Silvalde through addenda to the existing competency delegation contracts. These addenda provide a financial reinforcement of 40 thousand euros for each of the parishes, totaling an additional investment of 80 thousand euros.

The reinforced competencies cover several areas of municipal intervention, allowing the parish boards greater autonomy in the management of local services and equipment. This reinforcement comes within the scope of the administrative decentralization that has been implemented in recent years.

With these addenda, the two parishes of the municipality of Espinho now have more financial resources to meet the needs of the local population. The measure is part of the municipality's strategy to Strengthen the proximity of local administration to citizens.

The total value of the competency delegation contracts between the municipality of Espinho and the parishes of Anta and Silvalde was thus increased by 40 thousand euros for each of the parish boards, representing a significant financial commitment on the part of the City Council.
