Projects from Pedrógão Grande are featured in an exhibition in Berlin, as part of the Experimenta Paisagem Museum. The museum was presented in Lisbon at a session attended by landscape architect Katrin Joensson, responsible for the international coordination of the initiative.
The Experimenta Paisagem Museum is a project that aims to create an open-air museum dedicated to culture, art and architecture. Pedrógão Grande is part of the list of pilot territories of this initiative, which also involves other Portuguese locations.
The presentation took place at the headquarters of the Association of Visual and Technological Education Teachers, attended by the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Pedrógão Grande, Teresa Loução, and by architect Filipa Frois Almeida, member of the research team.
The municipality of Pedrógão Grande was devastated by the fires of June 2017, which caused more than 60 deaths. Participation in the project comes as part of efforts to rebuild and enhance the territory, combining artistic and architectural interventions with the memory of the community.
