Weak showers and strong wind in some parts of Madeira this Friday

SAPO Notícias28 August 2026 at 08:15

Weak showers and strong wind will affect some areas of Madeira this Friday. The expected precipitation is of reduced intensity, but will be sufficient to alter the weather conditions on the island.

The north slope of Madeira will be one of the areas most affected by the rain. This area of the island tends to be more vulnerable to adverse atmospheric conditions, especially during episodes of instability.

The highlands will also be particularly affected by the rain. The mountainous areas of the island tend to record more significant rainfall accumulations and reduced visibility conditions during this type of weather situation.

The strong wind will complete the meteorological scenario of the day, contributing to a Friday of unstable weather in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
