The specialist predicts that the heat will intensify progressively throughout the next week. More rain and strong wind on the way to Portugal and these will be the most affected regions

Rain continues to affect Portugal this Friday, August 28, with the North and Centre regions, especially Minho and the North coast, being the most affected. IPMA forecasts periods of rain and showers that should weaken from mid-afternoon onwards, with the sky gradually clearing. Wind will be stronger in Madeira, reaching 40 km/h in the eastern and western extremes and in mountainous areas, while on the mainland it will blow between 20 and 30 km/h. The Algarve and Baixo Alentejo regions will escape significant precipitation, remaining with few clouds. Maximum temperatures are expected to rise across most of the country, and the general trend is of progressive improvement throughout the day.
