Weak showers and strong wind in some parts of Madeira this Friday

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) issued a weather forecast for this Friday, August 28, regarding the Madeira archipelago. For that day, periods of very cloudy skies are expected throughout the region.

Regarding precipitation, weak showers are forecast, which will be more frequent on the north slope of the island and in the highlands. This meteorological situation should mainly affect these specific geographical areas of the island of Madeira.

Regarding the wind, it is expected to blow weak to moderate, with speeds up to 30 km/h, coming from the northeast quadrant. At the east and west extremes of the island, as well as in the highlands, gusts may reach 40 km/h, especially during the early morning and towards the end of the day.

Precipitation should decrease progressively during the afternoon, giving way to clear spells.
