Fined 100 euros for having a breakdown on the road, indicating the accident with the V-16 beacon but not having the mandatory V-13 visible correctly: the Guardia Civil intensifies surveillance

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General28 August 2026 at 05:01

A driver was fined 100 euros for having a breakdown on the road, for having the V-16 beacon visible but for not having the mandatory V-13 documentation correctly visible. The Guardia Civil is intensifying surveillance on these matters.

The summer holiday period is approaching, which means more journeys on Spanish roads. The Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) will launch this Friday and until Sunday the second special device of the summer 2026 operation.

During this period, the DGT forecasts 5.6 million journeys on Spanish roads, which justifies the increased surveillance by the authorities.
