The presidential candidate for the PT, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, was interviewed this Thursday (27) by Globo. The interview was conducted by journalists Renata Vasconcellos and César Tralli, directly from Globo Studios, in Rio de Janeiro, and was part of a series of interviews with the main presidential candidates.
The interview was fact-checked by Globo's fact-checking team, which analyzed the statements made by Lula during the program. It is the first time that interviews with aspiring candidates to the Presidential Palace are aired after the "Jornal Nacional", and not during the news program.
The broadcaster invited the six highest-placed candidates in the voting intention poll released by Quaest on August 14. The order of the interviews was determined by lottery, with the presence of party representatives.
The complete schedule includes Romeu Zema (Novo) on Monday (24), Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) on Tuesday (25), Renan Santos (Missão) on Wednesday (26), Lula on Thursday (27), and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) on Friday (28).
