There will be 87 films from 34 countries competing in the next edition of CineEco

The selection of films for the next edition of CineEco – International Environmental Film Festival of Serra da Estrela is already known, which will take place from October 9 to 17 in Seia. A total of 87 films from 34 countries will be competing, providing nine days of screenings of national and international productions dedicated to environmental cinema.

Director Ruy Guerra, living legend of Brazilian cinema born in Mozambique, celebrated his 95th birthday surrounded by friends and fans at Estação Botafogo, in Rio de Janeiro. Trained in Paris, he is known for iconic films like "Os Fuzis" and "Os Cafajestes," responsible for the first frontal nudity in Brazilian cinema in 1962, starring Norma Bengell. The filmmaker also became famous for his romantic conquests, having been married to Nara Leão and Leila Diniz, with whom he had daughter Janaína, as well as being father of Dandara Guerra, daughter from his relationship with actress Claudia Ohana.
