China evacuates areas in Tibet due to the risk of a lake formed after the flood breaking

Chinese authorities evacuated this Thursday residents from several locations in Tibet threatened by the possible rupture of a lake that formed after floods that hit on Wednesday a border zone between northern Nepal and the southwestern Tibetan region. The lake formed near the confluence of a river coming from Nepal with another watercourse in Tibet and contained about two million cubic meters of water, according to data from the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources broadcast by state television CCTV.
