Preventive detention for perpetrator of hit-and-run in Albufeira

The Court of Faro orders preventive detention for a 41-year-old man suspected of deliberately running over several people in the early hours of Tuesday in Albufeira, causing 16 injured, two of them in serious condition. The incident occurred in the Marina area and the suspect was arrested a few hours later.

The landslide, which reportedly originated from the Nepali side, left a layer of mud that in some points reaches up to 2 meters in depth.
