Driver who ran over 16 people in Albufeira remains in preventive custody

The Albufeira Court orders preventive detention for a 35-year-old driver who ran over 16 people, including two GNR military officers, on Tuesday morning in a bar area of the city. The suspect, who was on vacation, invaded a pedestrian street in the Oura area during a police chase, having registered an alcohol level of 1.29 g/l at the time of detention. Two of the victims suffered serious injuries.
