Brazilian soprano Lorena Pires, resident at the National Opera Academy of Paris, will make her debut at the 25th edition of Lavagem de Madeleine, a festival that takes place from September 10 to 13 in the French capital. She will sing the "Ave Maria" during the program, which brings together more than 700 artists and has samba as this year's theme. Inspired by the Lavagem do Bonfim in Salvador, the party created in 2002 is part of the official calendar of the City of Paris and will have its main procession on September 13, led by Mariene de Castro, going from Place de la République to the Église de la Madeleine.
