A nine-year-old girl was seriously injured after falling from the second floor of a building in Caldas da Rainha. The child was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital unit, where she received medical care.

Gouveia – Rescue of weakened bird of prey

The Territorial Command of Guarda, through the SEPNA of the Gouveia Detachment, collected a bird of prey of the booted eagle species that was found weakened in the industrial zone of Gouveia by a citizen. The animal was delivered to the Center for Ecology, Recovery and Surveillance of Wild Animals (CERVAS), where it will receive the necessary care for later return to its natural habitat. The GNR appeals to the population to report situations of injured or weakened wild animals through the SOS Environment and Territory Line.
